Carol James studied art in Brighton and West Surrey before moving permanently to join the West Cork artists’ community in 1974. Carol James enjoys being inspired in her work by the wild beauty of the land around her, and the simpler way of life of those who live from it.
She is a sculptor and painter, and has worked on public art commissions. She has travelled extensively to Africa and her paintings of wildlife there are well-known.
