Celebrating Ballydehob’s unique place as the centre of an iconic arts and crafts movement between 1950 and 1990 by assembling, cataloguing and displaying a donated permanent collection of works from that era.

This evolving site contains information on all the participants in this West Cork arts movement from the mid-twentieth century and presents biographies and examples of their work.

BAM curates annual exhibitions of the available work of the participants.

The diverse artistic community in Ballydehob encompassed ceramicists, painters and illustrators, craft workers, writers, photographers, musicians, dancers and many others. It was a phenomenon unique in Ireland at that time.
